Privacy Policy:

Our company’s core mission revolves around delivering a seamless, hassle-free booking experience for our valued customers, entirely through digital channels. Through our platform, we securely gather essential details from individuals making bookings, including their name, email address, and mobile number, ensuring accurate delivery of the products they’ve ordered. Additionally, for car rental reservations, we require customers to submit necessary documents for registration through RTA and providers’ portals.

We don’t facilitate any kind of online payment through our website. It’s important to note that rentakar.ae prioritizes customer data security. We do not retain any payment information; instead, all financial transactions are processed directly by the corresponding bank.

Invoicing and Payment Terms:

• Rental periods are based on a 24-hour cycle. For instance, if a one-day rental begins at 9 am, it must be returned by 9 am the next day. Any delay, such as returning the car at 5 pm the following day, will incur an additional day’s charge.
• Your invoice will be generated on the day you collect your car, prior to the rental term, constituting a prepayment. Full settlement is required immediately.
• A fee of 7 AED will be applied upon release of the deposit.
• If a customer intends to extend their rental agreement for additional days, they must notify us at least 12 hours prior to the extension. Failure to do so will result in the extension being charged at the standard daily rate.
• Payment for the extension must be made in advance to validate the extension. Otherwise, it will not be considered valid.

Cancellation:

• Once the rent payment is processed, your booking cannot be canceled.
• Once a car is reserved, refunds cannot be issued as the reserved car would be unavailable for other potential customers interested in booking it for that date.

Drivers and Licensing Requirements:

• All drivers must be 21 years old or older to be able to rent.
• Drivers must present a valid international or national (local) license. Please note that certain local licenses may not be accepted. Our team will verify the validity of your license before renting the car to you.
• Drivers must refrain from operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Any insurance claims arising from driving under such influence will be rejected, and you will be held accountable for all subsequent damage repair costs.
• It is primarily your responsibility to ensure that you are eligible to drive a rented car in compliance with the laws of the UAE.

Delivery:

• Delivery outside Dubai state is subject to a fee (depending on the location of the other city).
• Driver must show original valid documents while receiving the car.
• Driver can take a video or photo of the current condition of the car, before signing the contract.

Restrictions:

• Smoking is strictly prohibited in our vehicles due to the potential damage it causes and the associated safety risks while driving. Violation of this policy may result in a charge of up to AED 500.
• The driver must return the car in the same condition as it was received. Any dirt, food remnants, or stains found in the car upon return may result in a charge.
• Off-roading, rallying, racing, or ‘drifting’ in our vehicles is strictly prohibited. Going to deserts, and tracks are not allowed.
• Customers are prohibited from exceeding 160km/h while driving. If the speed limit is surpassed, a charge of 2000 AED will be incurred on the second attempt. On the third attempt, the car will be immobilized, and no refund will be issued for the remaining rental period.
• Pets may be allowed in our vehicles, however, cleaning and damage penalties will be charged, without exceptions.
• 500 AED will be charged if the car is returned with a very dirty interior (trash on the ground, food leftovers, etc..).

Mileage Usage:

• Our offer is based on a maximum use based on the number of kilometers stated in your contract, typically 250 KM per day.
• Additional usage will be charged at the rate of AED (5-10 AED) per KM, depending on the car.

Salik (Toll Charge) and Traffic Fines:

• The Salik (toll) charge will be the toll amount (typically AED 4), plus 1.5 AED service fee, plus VAT on the service fee component.
• Traffic fine charges will be the actual fine, plus an AED 50 service fee, plus VAT on the service fee component. We will inform you as soon as we get a notification from the concerned authorities.
• If the fine caused the car to be impounded, an additional fee ranging from 100 – 500 AED will be charged.
• You will be required to pay these amounts immediately upon notification.

General Terms:

• If the customer is at fault in a car crash, they will be responsible for paying a certain amount (as specified in the contract) towards the car repair costs at the agency workshop, in addition to the daily rental charges for the duration the vehicle remains under repair.
• If the customer has opted for CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) insurance coverage and is found at fault in a car crash, they will be liable for the daily rental charges for the period the vehicle is being repaired.
• In the event of a car crash, regardless of fault, the contract will be canceled without refunds or replacement of the car. The customer must contact the police and file a report immediately.
• Exceeding the speed limit of 160 km/h is strictly prohibited. Upon the fourth violation, a charge of 2,000 AED will be imposed. On the fifth violation, the contract will be terminated, and the car will be immobilized. In such cases, rental fees are non-refundable.
• Driving in desert areas, race tracks, or engaging in reckless driving, including drifting, is prohibited. rentakar.ae will impose a charge of 100,000 AED for violations, in addition to repair costs for any mechanical failures or damages incurred.
• Tire damage is not covered by basic insurance or CDW coverage. The customer is responsible for the cost of tire replacement or repair.
• No refunds will be provided if the customer returns the car before the end of the rental period.
• A minimum charge of 2,000 AED applies for each scratch on the car upon return.
• A 3% charge applies to fines paid online by rentakar.ae, along with a 70 AED fine surcharge.
• For fines that cannot be paid online, a minimum charge of 1,000 AED applies, in addition to a minimum charge of 1,000 AED for fines resulting in impounding.
• An additional surcharge of 1.5 AED applies to each Salik charge, and a 3% surcharge applies to payments made by credit cards.
• If the customer is involved in a car crash involving two or more rentakar.ae cars, the contract will be terminated immediately, with no refunds provided. CDW insurance coverage will not be considered, and each customer will be charged 100,000 AED, in addition to repair costs.
• Affixing any marketing materials, such as stickers or wrapping paper, to the cars is prohibited. Violations will incur a charge of 100,000 AED.
• Customers are responsible for documenting the condition of the car upon receipt and return by taking their own photos/videos.
• rentakar.ae reserves the right to terminate the contract if the customer violates any of the above conditions.
